About Me

School has always been important to me, and I’ve generally enjoyed it. I love being able to learn new things and expand my knowledge. My goals in university are to learn more, decide on a career path, and create lifelong friendships. All of these are important for college life and life after college. Although making friends may seem unnecessary to include in an academic setting, it really is the most part of college and life in general. Creating lasting friendships is vital to a happy life, and any success is arbitrary without those to share it with. I want to explore the role media has on daily life through the Media, Self, and Society Scholars program. Especially this year, we have examined the role media has in politics and how the information is consumed, but I can’t wait to look at the media's role in other elements of society as well. Through this program, I hope to develop even more about media and the internet.
